Update: I looked up the license plate, and it’s actually a 1995 840Ci. The badge is faker than a three dollar bill.
The 850CSi was BMW’s range topper in the mid-90s, and retailed for more than $100K new. Only 225 were imported to the US. When this passed me today, I braked and pulled a U-turn to chase him down and take this picture. It’s the first 850CSi I have ever seen.

I saw one of these at Bimmerfest East a few years back with the Dinan 5.7 stroker kit on it. It may or may not have had twin turbos as well, but I can’t remember. I do remember have to contain my drooling.

Given the diarrhea of stickers on the back, and what looks like fake fender vents on the front, I think the chances this is a real 850csi are slim to none.

You’re right. I looked up the license plate, and it came back as a 1995 840Ci. Not only is it not a real CSi, it’s not even a V12.

That’s too bad. I’d be ecstatic to own a “lowly” 840ci, why lie about what you have?

I agree. Just seems stupid to me.

I love to see skeevy dudes with a standard beemer and M badges stuck on it. A guy near me has an 840, it’s covered most of the time. I even see one with M stripes over the whole car. Who do they think they are fooling?

Nice - and doesn’t show that pesky bank robbery I was involved with a few years ago...
